Hair Extension Aftercare & Maintenance
Shampooing
First brush hair thoroughly then from the crown down soak hair with warm water, next apply shampoo at the root area; gently massage in small circles over the scalp this will cleanse both the natural hair and the extension hair, rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary.
Conditioning
Apply conditioner to mid-lengths and ends, gently massage, distributing the conditioner thoroughly. You can brush the ends using your hair extension soft bristle brush, this will help ensure every hair is coated with conditioner. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, after rinsing squeeze excess water from the hair and wrap with a towel, gently pat hair to remove moisture, avoid rubbing the hair.
Drying
We recommend that you section your hair and use a cool setting to blow dry the hair extensions, or you may prefer to leave to dry naturally and then finish of with the hair dryer. Never sleep with wet hair.
Brushing
We advise that you always use a large soft bristle hair extension brush as this will ensure the hair does not snag, it will also leave hair shiny and in optimum condition. Gently brush hair starting at the ends, moving to mid-length and then roots while supporting the extensions at the root area. At night time gently tie hair back or plait this will help to prevent tangles and knots. So looking sensational has never been so easy!
Holidays
We recommend that while on holiday you keep your hair tied up and wear a sun hat , you must thoroughly wash your hair if you have been in the swimming pool , sea water or if any surplus sun cream has come in to contact with the hair extensions as all of these can affect the colour and quality of your hair extensions .
